Development Manager - Fatherhood Foundation

The Fatherhood Foundation is a federal government endorsed tax deductible faith-based harm prevention charity. Its office is located near Wollongong, NSW. This is an exciting new position.

Our mission is to improve the well-being of children by increasing the number of children who grow up with responsible, committed and loving fathers. For 6 years we have been accomplishing this mission by educating and inspiring all people and especially fathers, through a variety of creative media methods, including TV adverts and web based communication. Mentoring courses, public policy advocacy, research, conferences, seminars, training and technical assistance are being used to successfully engage people and other organisations at local and national levels through strategic alliances and partnerships.

The role of the new Development Manager is to obtain funding and support for this important and highly effective non-profit, family-friendly charity which has the goal of inspiring fathers and renewing families.

You will be energetic, disciplined and passionate to raise money for this biblical cause: to 'turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers' [Malachi 6:4]. You need to demonstrate you are a person of prayer and faith, committed to your family, active in your local church and willing to work in a team. Your management skills will include creative planning, organising and excellent communication abilities. An entrepreneurial attitude would be a necessity. The ability to raise funds through personal presentations, lobbying and submission writing is essential and tertiary qualifications would be an advantage.

A negotiated salary package will include a base salary and performance bonuses. Rewarding flexible working conditions are available for the successful candidate.
